1. Does it Hurt?

You are in the heat of battle, the other team is firing on you as you move up for a better shot and take cover. You pop out to take a shot and POW you get shot right in the shoulder. In the heat of battle do you really notice getting hit? The impact of getting shot by a paintball is about the same as the snap of an elastic band. With the safety equipment we provide combined with proper clothing you will have a winning combination for a day full of fun!

Now with the new Low Impact paintball guns the sting is reduced to about 1/3 of standard paintballs, so even the younger kids and first time players can enjoy. but there is still a little sting depending where you get hit! Find Out More About Low Impact Paintball Here!

2. Will the Paint Wash Out?

Did you know that paintballs don’t actually contain any paint? Paintballs are made with a gelatin capsule filled with a non-toxic, biodegradable, water soluble polymer. At Splatzone we only use paintballs with white fill. This means you won’t be getting anybright orange, pink, or yellow stains all over your clothes. All of the paintballs at our field will wash out as long as you wash the clothes within a couple days.

3. What Should I Wear?

The most important thing you need to wear is an approved mask. The great thing is that this is included in all of our rental equipment packages for no additional cost! Now for the rest of your body we find that loose fitting clothing helps to reduce the sting of paintball. For those not wanting to get their clothes dirty we offer coveralls, jackets, and gloves for rent!

4. How Long Will 100 Paintballs Last?

The best analogy I can compare it to is “How long is a piece of string?” The real answer is that it is different for each person. We have players that last a whole day on 100 paintballs, and others have shot them all in 15 minutes. It really is up to the player holding the paintball marker to determine how long the paintballs is going to last. The average player at our field will shoot about 300 paintballs in a session, and will play for around two and a half hours. This works out to be about 120 paintballs per hour.

5. How Old Do I Have To Be To Play?

We require that players be minimum six years old, but we reccommend players to be eight years or older. Because every player under the age of 18 has to have a waiver filled out by a parent or guardian it is really their decision on how old you should be to play. With our Low Impact Paintball markers and strict safety rules we will keep everyone safe and having a good time!

6. What if we only have a very small group?

No problem. You still need to do a reservation, even if just a few people. Then when you come in, we’ll just get you teamed up with some other folks of the same age and ability, and make sure everyone has fun. If it is your first time playing paintball we won’t mix you in the with the pros! You can find out more about our Fair Play Policy Here. Or if you are ready to book, then make your reservation here!

7. Can I Use My Own Gear?

You sure can! Now with that said we do have some policies in place to make sure that everyone has fun. For those with electronic markers, they can only play against players with electronic markers. If there are not enough electronic players out at any given time, then we will offer you a free rental marker so you can still play with the crowd.

We also do not mix players playing with the Low Impact Paintballs with players with regular 68 Caliber paintball markers. Again, if there are not enough 68 Caliber players at any given time, we will offer you a free rental 50 caliber marker so you can still join in on the action.

You can find out more about these policies at our Fair Play Policy Page.

8. Who Will I Play Against?

Splatzone Paintball is dedicated to making sure that everyone can have a great time! We will never mix players playing Low Impact Paintball and Regular 68 Caliber Paintball. We will also not allow players of widely different ages play against eachother. If you want to ensure your booking is private you can opt for to pay our Private Field Fee and when you are on the field it will only be your group!
